News » Charles Butlers' 12 000km cycle journey

On the 13th of Jan 2017, Charles Butler (Espin 2006) set off from the Pyramids of Egypt to cycle 12,000km through Africa before arriving in Cape Town some 4 months later.

The cycle and this page aims to:
- Raise funding for Helping Rhino's campaign for The Black Mambas (a female anti-poaching unit in South Africa) as they fight the rhino poaching efforts
- Document the incredible beauty and diversity of the African countries that I will be cycling through

Charles' dad, Tony Butler (Espin 1977) joined him for 237km on Stage 53 & 54 from Luviri School Camp to Lilongwe via Kasungu.
